I see why its so hard to find NO COMPLICATION stories

Recommended Posts

When i was on the pre-op side i was on the site daily. And always found not just here but on other sites as well, its very easy to locate stories with complications but not as easy to find the one's with out. Now i know why, people just live. When they don't have problems they normally don't have many questions. But i think it does leave a lot of sites very one sided. So even though its early for me i am going to try to post more. Cause so far so good. I stopped taking pain meds 4 days out started driving the same time. the only issue i can say is getting my 64 oz., but its not an issue of pain or nausea , more like poor time management . Ill be going back to work in 2 weeks so i think that i will be very helpful with keeping a schedule, i will update as i go.

I haven't had any issues either! I mean, I have had some Hair loss but that's it. I've had no problems with food, Water, or any other complications. Thankfully, I got lucky..and I'm 4.5 months out [emoji177]

I have had no serious issues. some mild Constipation, some depression early on. that's it. I haven't had trouble eating or drinking or exercising. weight is coming off slow and steady.

I have not had complication either so seeing other people struggle makes me not want to put out here. Oh I am doing great, my only struggle so far is still being on what my doctor refers to soft food stage and wanting to move on and I have another three weeks but I am following doctors orders which maybe why I am doing well :)

Starting Thursday - I do get to add chicken, crackers and corn tortilla's. I never thought I would be excited about being able to eat chicken.< /p>

I am trying to only weigh the 16th an 1st of the month. I know if I am not careful, I can become obsessive and be disappointed easily in the scales. I am hoping I will see progress.

I am actually happy to see your progress....I started out about the same weight at you for my surgery weight. I happy to see you are already under 200 pounds. I am hoping to reach that milestone by the end of the year.

How much do you exercise? Do you track what you eat?

Same with me, it's only been 5 days post op but I haven't had any issues. Thank God, I prepared myself for the worst. No nausea, no gas, and minimal pain. Let's hope it continues that way. Today has been a much better day getting my fluids in. Continued success everyone!

I walk almost every day. usually about 3 miles - but of course in the first month it was not that much. Once cleared for more I went back to doing my bedtime yoga routine, and a couple of times a week I use my pilates reformer for a work out.

I am a loosey goosey tracker. I weigh my morning snack which is almonds, dried cherries and a few chocolate chips. because it is easy to overdo nuts. I get them ready on Sunday - I have this snack on work days. other than that I add my Protein and fluids in my head until I get to my minimum and then I stop adding the rest of the day. I just overall keep carbs low, but I don't try to eliminate all carbs. I usually do cook most of my Proteins on Sunday and measure them out on these little dishes that travel to work easily and then my lunches for the week are prepared, with extra Protein in the fridge that is flexible to use for various dinners.

about 3 times a month I weigh/measure everything and put it in my mapmywalk tracker to make sure my portion sizes haven't grown.

sometimes it feels like the changes are too fast for my brain. sometimes it feels painfully slow. just trying to hang on and enjoy the ride.

I look forward to seeing your progress! getting below 200 was a HUGE milestone for me.

Good insight @@Womanvsmirror ! SO glad it's going well for you. Mine turned out beautifully, and even an unexpected huge benefit from the hiatal hernia repair. It's been the best thing I ever did for myself, and I've had ZERO complicatoins or problems. Sure i've gotten frustrated these past two years about an occasional stall, but now i have that in better perspective and don't let it rattle me.

That Water thing is hard, and heaven help me, even after two years I have to constantly remind myself. I'm glad at least that smaller bites and portions and not drinking with meals are all now firmly in the 'habit' part of my life.

off to get another freaking glass of Water now---

This is not just a problem with this site. It's a problem with the internet in general. When people have something to complain about, they will do so loudly. When all is going swimmingly, they don't feel the need to share that with perfect strangers.

I said that its not this site alone. I doesn't hundreds of hours searching, but i now understand why.. But people will vent to strangers when it's going bad, go figure

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
