Tommy Joe 113 Posted June 14, 2016 Today is day two of my liquid diet. I've been using low calorie juice, Unjury and nectar and lots of Water. My main issue is with "leakage" to put it as delicately as possible. Does this last throughout the liquid diet? I'm lactose intolerant so only mix with water at this point. Any tips from veterans would be most helpful. Do I need to wear Depends? God help me I'm gettin ready for the Home....
tagyourit 53 Posted June 14, 2016 I was able to have Jello and stuff like that so it gave me variety but I did have some issues in the bathroom for the entire 2 weeks.
James Marusek 5,244 Posted June 14, 2016 It appears you are in the pre-op diet stage. Good luck on your surgery. I had RNY gastric bypass 3 years ago. Before surgery I had a problem with frequent urination. Every hour on the hour during the night, I made a trip to the restroom. But a few weeks after surgery, this problem went away. Now I get a good nights sleep. Although this is not the same problem you are experiencing it is similar. If Depend will contain this problem by all means buy some and use it when you need it. Hopefully this problem will disappear for you after surgery.
Tommy Joe 113 Posted June 15, 2016 Thanks so much James I am having a mini bypass on June 27. Have been limiting food due to IBS for a couple weeks before the liquid pre op diet, down 13 pounds already . I will get some Imodium too thanks for your encouragement!
