Anyone having problems with having enough energy to exercise while on pre~op diet? Begging second week and I have no energy and lightheaded. I'm wondering how ppl have energy to exercise after surgery due to limited caloric intake. I'm following diet to the "T"

I don't think it's a good idea to exercise like that on the pre op because you're not actually eating . And after surgery you wait weeks to exercise when you are actually able to eat soft foods and have healed properly

I didn't do day one because that's when I got my approval so I ate like a pig that day lmao. And I could only drink Water , crystal light , diet Snapple ( which I love ) sugar free Popsicles sticks , this pudding powder ( taste awful) Greek yogurt ( AWFULLL) and low sodium broth and sugar free Jello ( which taste like regular jello to me ) i have two days left and I've lost 15 pounds

I was extremely tired during the 2 week pre op diet. Took several naps and I couldn't exercise. My surgeon suggests to start taking your Vitamins now to help with it.

You are definitely not alone on this one. I haven't really exercised on the two week liquid diet. I'm on the last day of only Clear liquids and no Protein shakes. Ickkk. I finally had energy a couple days ago and have took a couple 15 minute walks. Stay strong.

I'm towards the end of my preop diet, surgery is Friday morning. Lack of energy? Check. Lightheaded? Check. I keep having to stop and take a break every few minutes while trying to give my house a thorough scrubbing. I did too much Saturday and ended not doing much of anything Sunday except fold and put away laundry. And even with that I got lightheaded every time I went to put something away. I just keep reminding myself this part is temporary and worth it in the end.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
