jea(n__n)ette 98 Posted June 13, 2016 I had Nexplanon in place for 7 months prior to my surgery, and I was glad my menstruation had been very few and light, sometimes 2 months late yay! It's about 8 weeks post-op, and I've already had 3 cycles where each lasted more than a week. I originally got the Nexplanon because I hated getting my period (and too bad the Mirena IUD couldn't fit inside my uterus). Anyone on hormonal birth control, did your period ever disappear again? snickysnack78 131 Posted June 13, 2016 I have had the Mirena for about 5 years, and up until the point of surgery, I didn't have my cycle. Once I started losing the weight, I had my cycle like clockwork. Granted it only lasts two days and isn't super heavy, I still get one.
nyseness 76 Posted June 14, 2016 I've had the Nexplanon since Feb 2016 and the first year was pretty good. Never had any cycles but this year I noticed I get a cycle every other month, once I have surgery next month I know it will change too. I'm thinking of getting it re-done later this year.
