Day 4 and I'm falling apart. I can't focus, I have no energy, and I am OH so hungry. I had a small bite of cantaloupe. I have already gone through 3 shakes and it isn't even close to dinner. Sigh. Poor me

@@PRINCESS2218 Wellllll, truth be told, I had a bit of a food funeral in the weeks leading up to the pre-surgery diet. I have no idea how much I gained between my last weigh-in and the start of the pre-surgery diet. I checked this morning and, after 3 days, I weigh the same as I did at my last weigh in, so I have hope that I should start dropping some between now and the 5th!.

I am at the end of day 3 and work full time and have little kids - it's been tough, but I have lost 4.4 pounds. Today the kids were driving me up the wall lol so I had a banana and egg....I do not feel guilty at all though. I am doing shakes and having Protein for dinner and still cleansing, detoxing and losing weight. Don't even think I am meant to be eating protein but seriously, I cannot do 3 shakes a day and that's it. I just can't....

@@cjacks It really is just a matter of personal preference. I really like the Atkins chocolate more than Premier, but I love the Premier vanilla more than the Atkins vanilla. The benefit of the Premier is that it has twice the amount of Protein, so I feel a little more full (as much as possible on a liquid diet.) I've also bought Syntrax nectar in fuzzy navel (Vitamin Shoppe), which is a nice break from the vanilla/chocolate/strawberry shakes.

@@missblonde20 I agree, I broke down and had a string cheese and a bite of cantaloupe yesterday (day 4). Yesterday was by far the hardest day yet for me. I have heard it gets better after day 5. Here's hoping! Good luck

Thanks anniebanana for the advice. I'm starting the prep op diet while on a business trip to California, so kind of nervous about that. My doctor has not restricted to total liquid. I can have solids like chicken and boiled eggs twice a day and the prep op diet is only 7 days. I thought that was strange since I have heard others say they were restricted to liquids only.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
