bini120 163 Posted June 12, 2016 I was wondering if any of you were able to successfully visualize your thinner self before you had the surgery or soon after surgery? 1 week pre-op and I'm struggling with what my slimmer body will look and feel like. Christinamo7 4,042 Posted June 12, 2016 well at work we have this curved front pop machine, and it makes me look a lot thinner, I go and stand there sometimes but I could not imagine how much my life would change for the better long before my appearance drastically changed. Caribear 184 Posted June 12, 2016 I have an extremely hard time with this. I have been overweight since I was eight years old, so I have absolutely no clue what I will look like. The best guess I have is that I will look similar to my mom.
KristenLe 5,979 Posted June 13, 2016 I was "normal size" a long time ago but I'm assuming I won't look like that after 30 years in between. I can't imagine how I'll look and feel - I'm still don't believe I'll get there. Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App
bini120 163 Posted June 13, 2016 I've always believed that if you can see it, you can be it - so I'm rattled that some days I have trouble seeing it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
JupiterinVirgo 846 Posted June 25, 2016 One of the reasons that I had the surgery was because I had this in inner experience, this inner unfolding. It was something my subconscious may just for me. I saw myself thin, wearing red, dancing ecstatically near a smoking bonfire. I could feel my own joy. I could feel my own liberation. It was and I was, glorious! This help give me the courage to do what was necessary.
