annabreke84 42 Posted June 12, 2016 Last month was the worst month of my life. At the beginning of May I lost my papa (my mom's dad) Then on May 15th my mom had a heart attack we think and on May 17th I lost her as well. They both lived in KY I love in TX. 13+ car rides each way with my family horrible eating on the way, same as while there if I ate at all, I forgot to take my Vitamins and acid pills. I'm trying to get on track now. I didn't gain I did lose 3 lbs last month. But the stress, the emotions, and the heartache seem to be to much sometimes. I come from a big extended family my mom was 2 of 10 kids. But sometimes I still feel so alone even with my sister and brother who both love in KY. I'm hoping it's not to late to get back on track as they were both so proud of how I was doing my HW was 256 SW was 229CW 173.4 SD 12/29/15. Anyone have any pointers to get back on track? Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted June 12, 2016 I am so sorry for your loss. I agree, be gentle with yourself. When you are able, you may want to consider some grief counseling. It can be very helpful. My old church used to have a really good grief recovery group. Sending hugs.
LipstickLady 25,682 Posted June 12, 2016 Make a plan for good eating so that's not part of your stress -- you already have too much other stuff going on. Plan out what you might like for a high Protein low carb Breakfast, lunch and dinner each day and follow the plan. Nothing elaborate; eggs, cheese, lunch meat, rotisserie chicken, Beans, etc. Get in lots of fluids and take your Vitamins. Concentrate on your mental health right now. That's what's most important. I'm sorry for your loss.
kerber 22 Posted June 15, 2016 Talk with a counselor or schedule an appoint with your psychologist you had for your surgery. Does your work have an employee assistance program? Take one day at a time and if need be file for intermittent FMLA. Sent from my SM-G800R4 using the BariatricPal App
