They fight like high-school girls!

Way to confirm the stereotype that all us aussies have a kangaroo in our yard lol

@,

I actually had the roos in my back yard, in my previous house.

Where I am now, just a short stroll to the river and reserve, there is a whole bunch of them, some are sooooooo Big!

Though the sun is currently rising over the trees, I can't answer that as I'm only halfway through my night's sleep (yeah...yeah I'm still gonna go with "night's"). I won't be venturing outside for some time, but I know that I'll definitely have better weather than you do! :P

@

Yep. 9:30pm-ish. I'm quite 'familiar' with the time difference. :D

@

Good evening! Hopefully sleeping pills work better for you than they do for me. I have yet to find one that doesn't keep me MORE awake.

@@CHM,

my GP did not want to prescribe the only non-appetite increasing anti-depressant that apparently is the best non addictive sleeping pill ever .... my bariatric psychologist suggested it to me, as sleep is important in recovery, and my hyper-thyroid has been keeping me awake again, for weeks!

So, I have super strong sleeping pills, yet unless I take 2-3, then no sleep for me ....

Over it, really ....

Not depressed, but very sleep deprived .....

I can't argue with your weather reference...

You saw the Sydney weather today...

I couldn't even show you the Opera house from the Harbour Bridge...

So you'd know where the weather was better...

Yes I did, and it was miserable indeed. Made me appreciate my sunny 30 degree weather!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
