P7rancher 27 Posted June 12, 2016 So today by 6pm l had two Celebrity 8 oz shakes spread over 8 hours. At six pm I felt hungry and had an eight oz. powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury shake. So in summary I have had 93 g. of Protein and 670 calories because I mix my shakes with 1% milk (100 calories per 8 oz shake). It's been hot here today and I had 4 Poweraid 20 oz. drinks. Summary 670 calories 93 grams of Protein And 104 oz. of liquid counting the milk I feel full now and do not feel like I need anything more before bed in about two hours. Are these quantities acceptable or do I need to cut back on the 1% milk or stop the Celebrity since it contains 60 calories more than Unjury? I am three days out from surgery and almost off pain meds and starting to feel really good. Am I exceeding a reasonable calorie limit?
P7rancher 27 Posted June 12, 2016 I'm going to add that I feel really full now two hours after I had the last shake which I drank over one hour, much to fast. This is the first time I have felt over full since my sleeve this past Wednesday. Guess I am learning. Tomorrow I will do things differently.
KristenLe 5,979 Posted June 12, 2016 From a newbie - I think that's great! My NUT said not to worry about calories at that stage and to get Protein and fluids. Sounds like you are doing well.
Mary2016 55 Posted June 12, 2016 Aren't you still on clears? Maybe you are advance already to full liquids.
P7rancher 27 Posted June 12, 2016 @@Mary2016 I am on liquids. I was only on Clear Liquids the day before surgery (liquids you can see light through).
Kindle 8,667 Posted June 12, 2016 Those are awesome numbers. It's great you are able to get in so much Protein and fluids so soon. Being able to get those calories in is also very beneficial to your metabolism and energy level. And yeah, it's a learning process figuring out what it takes to feel satisfied but not too full. Congrats!
