@kmorri:

---and here all of this time I thought we were friends. ;(

Have you been talking to my daughters???

:)

Prayers going up--for me! I think I'm going to need all I can get. :)

Of course we're friends! I just was trying to think of something that would get you close to where I live so we could meet! haha

A few weeks ago I started getting up before work to walk the dogs. It's gotten hot here, but I don't want to miss out on our walks. I would have never done that before.

I also started hiking a couple months ago. I've been really enjoying that!

This weekend at Hunnington Beach in California...I realized I walked in deep sand for over an hour, no heavy breathing, no sinking to my knees. That was a first. I used to scan for the quickest way to shore line to get to the "firm" sand near the Water, and it was always a slog to get there. It's so nice to be normal.

I wore short shorts yesterday. First time in 30plus years . Although my legs don't look like they did back then , it felt so good to walk around in them .

Some other first for me is hiking, Zumba, and gardening.

Next on my list is motorcycle license

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

      I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
