anna81 7 Posted June 10, 2016 Hi all, I have a gastric band and have had it for 5 years. This is the second band I've had as the first one broke. This one is now also leaking so I am due to have a gastric sleeve instead. Has anyone gone from a band to a sleeve and what is the noticeable differences between the 2? I was upset but my doctor assured me it was no problem- he would remove the band and create a sleeve. His did it in one procedure and I love the sleeve. I had a super quick recovery and have more energy and enthusiasm than I have had in years. If you have any specific questions just ask! You can always PM me if you prefer. Good luck and take care.
