bypassthatbunni 7 Posted June 10, 2016 Hi. I'm almost 3 weeks post op and I'm struggling with food. I am on the soft food phase, I follow the rules. I eat very slow and I take very small bites (the size of a pencil eraser) yet everything I eat gets stuck even yogurt and apple sauce. As you can imagine it's very uncomfortable. What can I do? MCE1205 47 Posted June 11, 2016 I graduated to soft foods after about 3 weeks. A woman in our support group had same problem and vomits. If it were me I'd ask my surgeon. The first month is hell. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

pammieanne 269 Posted June 13, 2016 @@kerber I believe the poster said she's eating yogurt and applesauce... that's pureed if I ever knew it, isn't it? @@bypassthatbunni, talk to your doctor's office and let them know the problems you are having. Each doctor, and each program has different expectations. I am 4 weeks out today, and am supposed to be able to eat soft foods now, but I already know that may not work for me, as I've been sick several times from some of the things I've eaten... my little pouch is a picky little sucker! Things are getting a little better, I went to the doctor and found out that I was severely dehydrated.. Thats why I couldn't take any thing by mouth.
