brittanylau 42 Posted June 10, 2016 Tomorrow is my monthiversary since having surgery and I've only lost 15 lbs since my surgery date.. I don't even think that's good. What can I do to help drop faster? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
grandmaofone 411 Posted June 10, 2016 Talk to your Nut and start logging your food as you might be eating more than what you think. I will be praying for you and your dr's to figure out a plan that will work for you!!!
NeedaBreak4Me 1,755 Posted June 10, 2016 Don't do anything drastic... just stick to getting your fluids and meet your Protein goals... your body will lose when it wants to. Are you getting enough calories? Are you a lower BMI?? Cause if you are... weightloss will be slower. I am 6 weeks, almost 7 weeks out and ive lost 28lbs... and doc said i am doing very well considering my lower BMI... but i am sticking to the plan 95% of the time
Kindle 8,667 Posted June 10, 2016 You're complaining about losing 15 pounds in a month? Really? I can't understand where everyone gets these crazy expectations of rapid weight loss after surgery. If you are meeting Protein and fluid goals and taking your Vitamins, thats all you need to do. That and maybe work on Lowering your unrealistic goals. BTW, it took me 3 months to lose 17 pounds and I was ecstatic about every single one of them gone forever. I never once thought I wasn't losing fast enough. Seriously, sit back and enjoy the journey! My NUT never really discussed that and he's out of town until Monday... My BMI currently is 39.8. I'm meeting a majority of my Protein goals and getting in 72 ounces of liquids a day Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Secondly i would suggest that you log your food daily, so you know exactly how much you are consuming. You could be consuming hidden calories or sugars that you may not be aware of unless you are logging your food. At 4 weeks out, don't worry too much about the weight loss... you are still recovering and your body is in shock
