Youre a ways out from working out, depending on when in May you had surgery. Should give yourself 4-6 weeks

aside from that, theres no targeting fat loss thru workout unfortunately :\ Just good ol fashion weight loss.

You can do ab exercises (sit ups, crunches, leg lifts, etc) that will help tighten your core and build strength, but its not going to increase your weight loss in that area

ok, I have had AMAZING success in reducing my belly. I used to look 8 months pregnant. now I do not. not even 4 months later! still overweight, and still my belly is greatly reduced. thankfully no one asked about the "baby" because I am too old for babies, lol.

1. it is going to come down to your food more than fitness - what you put on your plate.

2. walk walk walk and mind your posture when you walk. tail should be tucked under and abs holding core in. think of a string holding up your body - and if possible walk uphill. on a treadmill the .5 incline is perfect as to how your foot lands on the belt. works your abs and also is more gentle on the knees/hips than a flat treadmill. if you walk outdoors make sure you have some uphill parts on your route.

3. yoga or pilates will pull in your core and tighten up the muscles there. you need poses that work the up and down muscles and the side ones to see a difference. this is pretty gentle and it is going to take 90 days or so to see a real difference but if you are regular about it this will happen. I like the Peggy Cappy videos but there are tons of choices out there. Again, this will only be beneficial if you make sure your posture is correct. When I was first learning my favorite poses I did them with the Wii, because there would be a line that showed me when my posture was correct and I can not describe to you what a difference it makes!

once you're good at these things then I would look into more challenging poses or into planking or some such. but this is a real good place to begin, once your doctor clears you for more than just walking.

I hope this is helpful to you!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
