jeniferdann 0 Posted June 9, 2016 Hello all! I haven't been on this forum very much at all, which is probably to my detriment. I have regained half of what I lost. Now, one of the main reasons for this is I had twins almost two years ago. I was pushed to eat as much as I physically could in order to maintain a healthy pregnancy. It was worth it. I love my girls and they were born premature, I can't imagine them being any smaller than they were, but here I am, 210 pounds and frustrated and feeling hopeless. My surgeon that did my surgery is kind of useless. I don't know if I should be looking into revision or if I am even a candidate for that? Are there any veterans out here that can provide some guidance?
KristenLe 5,979 Posted June 9, 2016 Congrats on your initial success and for the birth of your girls! Before considering revision - try doing the pouch reset to see if you can get back to losing. Welcome back!
jeniferdann 0 Posted June 9, 2016 Does this work? I have seen it but didn't know if it actually made any difference.
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted June 9, 2016 Skip the pouch test, try the 5 Day meat Test instead. Much more satisfying and in my experience a lot more effective! https://fivedaymeattest.wordpress.com/ Be sure to explore the "Instructions" and "Sample Menu" tabs at the top of the linked home page for the Meat Test as well. KristenLe 5,979 Posted June 9, 2016 @@jeniferdann I don't know for sure but heard people say it did. Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App
Christinamo7 4,042 Posted June 9, 2016 I would give the reset and following the bariatric food plan a try before consulting about a possible revision. either way though, YOU CAN DO THIS! and we will be right here to encourage you along the way. stick around! jeniferdann 0 Posted June 13, 2016 Thank you all for the replies, I am starting the five day pouch test tomorrow. However, if anyone could point me in the right direction of how to fix this.. I don't get any email or notification when someone responds to my post!! Does the app work well for the iPhone?
