suture pain/scar tissue?!

heres a new one (for me at least)

my sutures healed up quite nicely, and there was absolutely no discomfort or pain at all. Then tonight, i felt one of my suture scars felt tender and as if it was a fresh wound. Its still sealed shut, but it was aching in pain and felt as if it was pulling inward. ?!?!?! Terrified now about going to work in the morning.

I mean what the hell?! Is this scar tissue forming inside or something? How do you guys fix this?

I've been feeling this too. I came on here to ask the same thing. When did you get your surgery?

I had a similar sensation, followed by an occasional feeling of something tearing or separating under the skin. My APRN explained it as the surgeon having sutured the muscle and skin together to reduce chance of hernia. So I'm assuming this was the muscle and skin separating after healing.

I would definitely check with your surgeon.

I also only just now realized that the bump under my big incision is gone.

Ahhh good to know interesting

My surgery was May 10th btw

That pain happened only once

Hoping it never happens again ..ugh
