RouxDude 20 Posted June 8, 2016 I'm just curious as to what your rate of weight loss was after your surgery? I had my two week appt last Thursday and I was down 20lbs. HW: 437 SW: 376 RNY on 5/16/
CharlotteKat 90 Posted June 8, 2016 I have tracked all my weights since my surgery last year on June 15. I lost 18 lbs. in the 2 weeks before surgery when I was on the liquid diet. After surgery, I averaged 4.1 lbs. per week in the first 6 months. After that point, my average has been 1.75 lbs. per week. My highest loss was 7.6 lbs. in one week. I do need to add that I exercised prior to surgery and after surgery. My doctor said that my rate of loss is on the high end of the spectrum. I would think that a man might lose even faster than I did. You guys have a definite advantage.
hrmills84 26 Posted June 17, 2016 It definitely depends on your starting weight. My doctors office prefers to go by percentages for this reason. The heavier you are, the more weight you will lose. My sw at surgery was 260 and I'm now at 235. 25 lbs over 25 days. I've been losing a lb a day Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Thecloude1 342 Posted June 17, 2016 Today is my 4 month post op...I have lost exactly 50 lbs since surgery....I haven't started any kind of regular exercise program yet so I probably could have lost more [emoji848]
Learningtolive 109 Posted June 17, 2016 I've lost 55lbs since surgery on Jan 27th. I was losing about 3lbs a wk, now I'm at a stall for 2 weeks, then lost 3 lbs from last week. Not on a regular exercise program really yet. I walk a lot and see a trainer on Mondays, but then my kid is around all the time so I don't have workout time cause she's usually cranky after I get out of work, husband is at work, so I don't feel like dragging her to the gym
