SilentBotts 138 Posted June 8, 2016 As of today I am able to hit my 60g of Protein with just food. No more shakes for me!
Christinamo7 4,042 Posted June 8, 2016 feels good doesn't it?!? I rarely have a shake now - but occasionally there will be days when we just can't quite get there - or when I don't have time to fix an egg for Breakfast - you know? the shake is good to keep on hand for those times. but I didn't like having to *rely* on them. japeters 44 Posted June 8, 2016 Please share how you are doing it, I still have a shake every day to meet my Protein, i just can't eat enough. Please and thank you!
SilentBotts 138 Posted June 9, 2016 I'm eating about 3-4 oz of chicken/fish/beef for most meals, I've been able to tolerate pretty much anything so I get to work in a lot of variety. Breakfast is either cottage cheese or 2 scrambled eggs with some cheese. Right now I'm not eating anything that isn't a high Protein food. meat, cheese, and eggs.< /p> I'm using http://www.myfitnesspal.com and it has a great nutrition calculator for recipes. So I can track Protein per serving for anything I cook.
marycc 6 Posted September 5, 2016 @@SilentBotts can you give an example of a day without Protein shake? How many calories usually? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
ojibway 203 Posted September 5, 2016 I cannot wait until I don't have to drink shakes! SO sick of them! I'm only a week out...I'm so ready to chew on something. haha
o00 494 Posted September 6, 2016 Im over 10 months out and still rely on shakes to hit my Protein goals. Some days its a challenge to consume 100 grams of Protein in solid form. I would rather drink it than go without it. Pounds are still coming off so I'm happy. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
