Lemm61 206 Posted June 8, 2016 I had surgery 6/1. Tonight one of my lap sites is draining. It's pretty much a constant stream of pink Fluid. It is positional, meaning it runs out when I stand up. I will call the WLS Office in the Morning, but wondering if anyone has had experience with this?
dhrguru 1,238 Posted June 8, 2016 One of my incision did start oozing puss, but it wasn't a constant stream. I ended up needed antibiotics to clear the infection. Did you have a drain?

If its a clear pink liquid that is goopy per my surgeon it should be fine. He said ensure its okay if you fill up more than two gauze pads in a day with drainage then come in just to be safe. suesmithwhippet 4 Posted August 16, 2016 I'm dealing with an infection now. Visiting nurse, daily wound packing. Trying to find a tape that won't rip up my skin any more. My surgeon says this sometimes happens. I didn't want to be a "sometimes" Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
