Lap site drainage

Recommended Posts

I had surgery 6/1. Tonight one of my lap sites is draining. It's pretty much a constant stream of pink Fluid. It is positional, meaning it runs out when I stand up. I will call the WLS Office in the Morning, but wondering if anyone has had experience with this?

One of my incision did start oozing puss, but it wasn't a constant stream. I ended up needed antibiotics to clear the infection. Did you have a drain?

If it is puss like go to the doctor. If its a clear pink liquid that is goopy per my surgeon it should be fine. He said ensure its okay if you fill up more than two gauze pads in a day with drainage then come in just to be safe.
