Stall with diet upgrades?

Recommended Posts

Hiii!

I am 3.5 weeks out from my sleeve date and I'm finding that with every diet upgrade, which is weekly for me, there has been a stall. Is this normal or did anybody else experience this? I'm on puree/soft foods right now and seriously haven't lost an ounce when it comes to weigh-ins since 6 days ago. That said, I also only started moving more/exercising today (20 min on stationary bike). I work as a physical therapist at a big hospital in Houston, so I know I should be moving more but I've really just been enjoying my time at home with my hubby... either way, I know exercising will help but these DAMN STALLS MAN!!! I feel like I'm so behind, I've lost 20 lbs since surgery. Thoughts???

I am almost 3 weeks out and have stalled at 14 pounds. I had some friends that stalled about the same time so from reading on these sites it appears to be a normal process! Which is good news I guess!

Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. We all experience stalls and slow downs and just about everyone experiences a stall about three weeks post-op. If you intend to lose a significant amount of weight then you will experience stalls.

Just follow your program.

Track your food.

Make sure you get at least 64 oz of Fluid a day.

Eat Protein first and make sure you reach your Protein target every day.

Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed.

Exercise when cleared.

Stay off the scale.

And, Embrace the Stall
