What do you buy at Costco?

pure Protein bars and asparagus. Sometimes I get the tiny wraps that have the meat and cheese, but most of them go bad because its sooo much.

I have gotten the already baked chicken before, and beef Jerky

This morning was my first costco trip since surgery. I sampled some cheese, hummus, and veggie burger, and I was stuffed. Here are the items I bought. These will all be new to my sleeve, so I'm curious to see how it goes.

- Premier Protein

- mango quinoa salad

- Parmesan cheese crisps

- these Alaskan pollock burgers were buy one bag, get one free:

- Fat Tire Beer Brats. My town is the home of New Belgium Brewery so had to get these. I'm not sure if my sleeve is ready for brats, but my husband will definitely love these.

Clothes!!!!! I can now buy clothes at Costco! And not evenings biggest sizes!

I also buy premier Protein shakes - have NOT seen caramel yet ::sob::, meat, some nuts.

The had the Enlightened brand broad bean crisps there. 24 packs - 100 calories and so yummy! But, they were gone the next time I went. ::sob again::

Here are the cheese crisps. They are quite yummy and satisfy when I want something crunchy.

I like the clothing options too: leggings, shorts, swimsuit, work out clothes and all for a lot less than other stores. I buy my sheets and towels there too. The only thing with costco is that you never get out the door for less than $100.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
