Yes I did. I was sleeved 5/24 and was very emotional. I'm coming out of it now but still have a lot of mixed feelings. Hang in there

I bet almost everyone felt this way. I did but since I vomited everyday for months my regret lasted longer. I wasn't myself for 4 months. Some days worse than others. But.....it does subside. Just try to take is slow and if you feel overwhelmed seek help.

It's all part of the "stages" of WLS. Regret is normal early on.

Hang in there! It gets better and better!

Yeeeeesss doubted my decision and all. At that time I was so happy I had joined this group. Hearing others who related and assured me that it will pass was absolutely rite! It did and will for you as well! Its been about 5 weeks and I feel waaaayyyy better????????

To give you an idea, I am somewhat of a macho guy and I cried a few times..not me at all....I was like "what is this salty discharge coming out of my eyes" def feeling somewhat better still a ways to go but I know I'll feel good eventually. It's a lot of physical and mental stress.

I'm only 3 weeks out but the first 10 days were the worst for me. I was certain I'd made a mistake and wasn't sure I could do it. Granted, I've got a long way to go but it's already so much better. You'll be feeling better soon too.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
