I get over my required water every single day....yet here I am at .5 lb a week. I eat Fiber and im going regularly taking all my Vitamin and my body fat is going down very slowly and my measurements are almost the same ........whhhhhhaaaaaaat? I don't know what to do and I'm frustrated I'm contemplating eliminating food and sticking to ONLY Protein Shakes for a week to see if it helps. I took 4 days off from exercise and i lost weight I go back to the gym and i slow my own weight loss? Tips & suggestions welcome!
sallo 56 Posted June 7, 2016 Maybe you're working out too much & not eating enough. Your body could be hanging on to the weight because you're using so much energy. I dont track anything & haven't experienced any stalls (yet). Maybe loosen up a bit? Sent from my SM-G900I using the BariatricPal App
RJC5197 282 Posted June 7, 2016 Try breaking up your routine. Cycle up calories for a few days, and also increase work out intensity but shorter time to get your body off its comfort point. This worked for me in past with stalls. Good luck, and never give up.
James Marusek 5,244 Posted June 7, 2016 Your daily Protein requirement is met by a combination of the Protein from meals combined with the protein from supplements (protein shakes, protein bars). In the beginning right after surgery your meal volume is so minuscule that almost all your protein comes from protein supplements. But as you get further out and your meal volume increase, if you concentrate on consuming high protein meals you can begin to downsize your protein supplements. At 10 weeks post-op, you are at this point. I went from 3 Protein Shakes per day, down to 2, down to 1 and then when my meal volume increased to 1 cup per meal at 1.5 years, I dropped off all my protein shakes. Your protein shakes include calories. When I started dropping off my protein shakes it broke a stall and I continued to lose weight.
