NeedaBreak4Me 1,755 Posted June 7, 2016 Usually being numb in the fingers is either a circulation/nerve issue or a Vitamin deficienct .. If you are taking a multi perhaps have a look at the values... Magnesium and thiamine deficiencies sometimes cause numbing. Daily recommended values from our surgeon's office are: Iron - 18mg B1 - 1.1mg B12 - 2.4mg Calcium -1000mg Folate - 400mg Magnesium - 400mg But, i would highly suggest you see your doctor for follow up

Can't have marathon sex for two hours Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App At 10 days post op you are expecting to have 2 hour marathon sex?????? Maybe wait a couple of weeks before trying anything that strenuous... perhaps walking would be a better way to get in some activity lol
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted June 7, 2016 If you are 10 days post-op, you aren't supposed to have energy. You are supposed to be exhausted. That's what happens after major surgery, often for weeks. Stop trying to exercise for 30 minutes and go for 20 minute walks instead. Take some naps and be kind to yourself. The energy will come back but right now your body needs all of its strength to focus on healing.

Can't have marathon sex for two hours Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Umm, little early for the two hour marathon sex. Hard on the core and staple line 10 days out. But in 20 more days watch out, if you follow instructions, the hormone level will make that a very pleasant possibility...see: http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/219760-sex-oh-my-god-sex/. I would not have even considered any more that walking for the first month. Only gentle sex until your stomach has healed.
sondra2368 26 Posted June 7, 2016 I've always been an overachiever. Can't imagine slowing down. Now everything is slow. If I take naps I won't sleep through the night. I used to be a hig energy person and now I'm exhausted. I take the Iron Calcium and B12 and multi that is prescribed by the Bariatric folks. It's just that I can't walk more that a mile without getting tired. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

The best thing you can do to increase your energy is get in at least 64 oz of Fluid, reach your Protein target, and take your Vitamins and supplements. Read2016 658 Posted June 7, 2016 Call me crazy but at 10 days post op might it be too soon for the things you mention "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them" Einstein

You had to know you'd need to slow down after major surgery or you can have major complications! Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App
rubia72 200 Posted June 8, 2016 I can barely complete 30 minutes and my surgery was in March. I think you need time to heal.
