Depends on where you are and who you go to. That said, my dr. charges $14,500 which includes 18 mos. of follow up and fills. I am in North Texas.

Are you self-pay or have health insurance? Are you wanting it in the states (which one?) or are you interested in going to Mexico? Please do a lot of research BEFORE you get a band. There is a lot of info. to learn. A well-informed patient has a much better chance of success. It's not all about getting the best price. You need to have an experienced surgeon, have your aftercare lined up (before surgery), fully understand how the band works, have realistic expectations, and know the band is a tool. The band will help, but it will not do the work for you. There's a lot of headwork involved too. Best of luck to you on your search!

Depend is you are having it done in the states or Mexico or another country. In California where I live I could not fine it for less then 15,000 and it ranged to 20,000

I had mine in Mexico and paid 8995.00

I pay 100 for fills I have had 2

I pay 10 in cab rides everytime I go to TJ

I pay 7 dollars for parking and the cost of my gas everytime I go

Im looking at almost 9600.00 total cost. I am 30-35 lbs from goal weight

My doctor in Houston charges $12,000 for a self-pay. I am not sure whether that includes follow-up. A 15 months ago, he charged $14,000 :D and that included a year's follow-ups and fills.

In October, Drs. Watkins and Montgomery at Norwest Weight Loss Surgery in Kirkland Washington (next to Seattle) charged $17,500 for outpatient surgery, which includes the one year follow up w/ fills. If you have to be inpatient for one night, the cost goes up to $18,200.

Good luck!

My Insurance Co Blue cross and Blue Shield of Michigan paid the entire bill which includes one year of as many visits and fills I need. My only expense is my consult fees with the nutritionalist. Shhh don't tell her I said this but as good as she is she can raise her fees and I'd pay them.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
