Hi there,

just updated my weight in my profile but there is something off. It now looks like there is a weight loss of 31 kg since May which is of course not correct.

I provided a different starting date (when I had my first surgery in 2001) but this doesn't seem to show?

I know what you mean as my weight loss goes back to when I started to diet without surgery back in 2006. To avoid confusion with how much I have lost since my first consultation I simply added to my signature line that I had lost a certain amount of weight before that first visit with the surgeon. If you felt it necessary you could add a signature line with your starting weight when you had your first surgery in 2001 and how much you lost then.

@@summerset Your starting weight, current weight, etc. are not showing because you've chosen to "Keep my weight private". If you would like those weights to show (including Starting Weight), you'll need to uncheck that setting.

Thanks for your answer but I chose the private mode on purpose. I was just wondering why the profile shows e. g. my starting weight as 130 lbs and not as 130 kg.

@@summerset was that prior to changing your settings to Private? The only weight shown on your profile at the moment is the Weight Lost (which is normal for when your settings are Private) - though that does indeed show as lbs, which is indeed an error and we'll look into it. I just want to make sure we're on the same page so that we can get all of it resolved :-)

The private setting was on purpose. :)

IIRC changing the setting to private didn't change anything at all regarding that lbs/kg error on the profile.

@@summerset Okay, so you're referring to the Weight Lost? Or can you screen shot where you're currently seeing "lbs" instead of "kgs"?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
