Zoes.Realm 190 Posted June 5, 2016 Has anyone have an extreme version of lactose intolerance post surgery. Pre surgery I had a tiny bit of problem with milk here and there. Now post surgery, I can not have anything with milk in it. After consuming something with milk it, I have about 20 mins before I have a violent reaction. (Not to be gross) but I have the worst diarrhea of my life. Can anyone else let me know if I am the only one? Zoes.Realm 190 Posted June 5, 2016 I am not a fan of the restrictions of being a vegan but have considered being a vegetarian. Time will only tell. And for the time being I have found some "milk" options. I just have to look at every label of everything I buy. Grocery trip are going to take a bit longer lol Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
KristenVSG2014 1,872 Posted June 5, 2016 Yes, so I eat mostly Paleo. Protein, then veggies then starch. No dairy, legumes, soy, added sugars, grains...I thought cheese would be hard to give up but it wasn't. I love almond milk. Coconut milk is alright. Canned coconut milk is delicious but too much gives me terrible stomach cramps. Every now and then I'll give in to some dairy in the form of dessert and I pay for it every time.
