I had my surgery June 1st. The gas in my stomach and left shoulder actually stops my breathing. I take GasX and move around as much as possible. Any other suggestions?

I have not had my surgery yet, but I have heard a heating pad helps a lot. Feel better soon!

I will try the heating pad, thanks.

Very disheartening; I just stepped on the scale and I weigh more than I did on my surgery day!

You will be swollen for a while after surgery. They pumped you full of IV fluids, and you will have a lot of swelling because of the actual surgery itself. Keep sipping fluids, you will be fine.

Walk walk walk is all I would hear the doctors and nurses say when mom had her surgery it helps move the gases out and relieves the gas pain, swelling is Water retention as well and that's why your weight is more than what it was before, give it some time and stick to your diet you'll be fine. Wish you a speedy recovery
