I had a question about sagging skin I'm 21 and 225 pounds and I'm having gastric sleeve in a little over a week and I wanted to know everyone's experience with their skin and if it started to sag or not or not . I was told that my skin probably wouldn't because I'm young and with weight training it should be find . ( mostly concerned with my arms )

I agree, young skin is going to bounce back with weight training... You seem to be on the lower end of the WLS spectrum... I'm close to your Weight but 45, don't think the out look for my skin is as promising lok

Take good care of your skin. Go to "beautypedia" to read the facts on good skin care. Your outcomes will primarily be based on a) your age which is INCREDIBLY in your favor right now and B) genetics which quite simply is the hand you are dealt. I'm not sure how tall you are but I would likely not have even been a candidate for surgery at 225. But it also helps with the skin if you "nip it in the bud". The more weight you gain and or lose the more prone you are to excess skin. At 21 with less than 100 lbs to loose and if you add weight training you may fare very well indeed!

My genetics are great and my mom had the surgery but she's a lot older and after that she had a lot of different tucks and Lipo and never worked out so I don't want to be like that . Especially since I used to work out before . And I'm 5,2 my starting weight was 229 BMI of 41 my weight literally went down after my first weight in and I have extremely bad obstructive sleep apnea . My doctors office said I should weigh lowest 110 ( that's not ideal to me honestly though, that seems really low )

Sounds like you will be good to go. Keep up the working out once you are cleared for full activity. Exercise is what helps us keep off the weight and building lean muscle helps us to provide some healthy connective tissue to underlie and support our skin.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
