Isopure was terrible for me but a lot of people like it. In the store here there are some mixes that look more like a juice than a shake like this one

Thanks! I have tried Atkins Lift. I can only handle the mixed berry flavor in small doses, can't do any of the other flavors.

Due to some digestive issues I have been taking Fiber in Water and then I add a scoop of unflavored Protein powder. I mention this because the Fiber adds a slight orange flavor. Not that I am suggesting that you have an issue with digestion, but what if you were to take one scoop of Protein Powder add with Water and then squeeze a little lime or lemon juice into the mixture?

Another idea might be to infuse Water with cucumber etc.. And add unflavored Protein...

nectar is 100 cal but can be mixed with Water. Fuzzy Navel or grapefruit might be refreshing.

And always a yes to infusing water!

I've been adding a scoop of vanilla or chocolate Protein powder (I use unjury) to a slightly cooled off large cup of Water with sugar free maxwell house mocha cafe (their version of general food's international coffee).. that's been getting me through the morning and helping to get in a lot more water!

I was going to mention Syntrax Nectar. They make lots of fruit flavors- grape, iced tea, cherry, apple, fruit punch, lemonade, grapefruit, to name a few, that are best when mixed with Water, all 100 calories of isolated whey Protein. Go to Sio3.com and run your mouse over the upper right quadrant (says monthly special or something like that). The screen will clear and give you the phone number to call and order a sampler pack. They send you individual shake-size samples of all 15 flavors they make, for $16.99 (that includes shipping). It's one pack per customer, but it's a great way to discover which flavors you like. They ship pretty quickly, too. I order my 2.2lb containers through Vitamin World for about $34 plus shipping/handling.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
