Justaprettyface 45 Posted June 4, 2016 I feel great, and I'm back to normal daily activities. Like most, I'm exhausted but still moving on. The problem I have is that I like to cook. I have a family of five and continue to cook meals that I love. Today, chicken parm. Looked so good, so I took some of the sauce I made and mixed it with a little ricotta. Heavenly. But after the chicken came out I cut off a little piece and now Im suffering. Why do I keep testing the limits? Has anyone else cheated like this...yesterday I had a small serving of frozen yogurt. I've also had watermelon and cantaloupe. I haven't even been escalated to pureed foods yet. WTH is wrong with me. I need help. I need to stop these bad habits - Came so far to screw this up. ButterflySeoul 98 Posted June 4, 2016 Do you have a magic bullet or some sort of food processor? Keep one handy and then you could chop that chicken up, add the sauce and ricotta to it and have the perfect little meal right along with your family! If you're genuinely concerned though, that you may sabotage your process, maybe you can make an appointment with your nutritionist, or a therapist that could help. I had my first follow up with the NUT since surgery yesterday, and I brought all of my food logs with me.. it was a good motivator to keep doing what I'm doing and slowly add more things in. Best of luck to you!
BigDog Bryan 262 Posted June 4, 2016 Chopped fruit in a small food processor (I used frozen fruit) gave me something to chew and was easy to tolerate. Pacing yourself with these treats is a NECESSITY, so use a teaspoon. Also, check to see how much Protein you are taking in each day - it's THAT important. Red Pepper Hummus was also very helpful, and still is. Hang in there and keep going!
