Hashbrown 8 Posted June 3, 2016 4 weeks post surgery my co worker brings me a coffee and donut not knowing I had the surgery. Normally I would scarf down 2 or 3 of them, but just to taste I took a nibble to my surprise I just didn't like it. Even since my surgery I really don't have an interest in food anymore. Proud2BMe 1,016 Posted June 3, 2016 Are you sure he wasn't trying to sabotage you? Also, just because you didn't like it now doesn't mean you won't love it later on. So do be careful. I remember three months out of my surgery I swiped icing off of a piece of cake and ate it and then threw up. I too thought that I would never be able to eat sweets again but I can now eat a full slice of cake. Luckily I only eat such on holidays or birthdays. Hashbrown 8 Posted June 3, 2016 They didn't know, I'm one of those people who has kept my surgery a secret. I just feel it's no bodies buineess but mine. I've never been big on sweets my weakness is salty crispy things, which aren't on the radar yet. I am really surprise at how different things taste, and my lack of interest in eating. I'm going to go with it for as long as I can. My new eating routine is now becoming habit, so I think I can live with my new self. o00 494 Posted June 3, 2016 I went to buy donuts for my staff but I guess everyone beat me to it. The case had a few left. Never was a fan of donuts and I too seem to have lost interest in food since surgery. I can see all kinds of food and not get tempted. It's weird because I used to always be on the see food diet prior to WLS.
CelesteMarie 129 Posted June 5, 2016 I agree about food not being as appealing but I'm sure it changes the longer postop we get. I'm not even five weeks post yet. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
