Beck90 189 Posted June 3, 2016 For me it's whenver disovlable stitches are gone so I figure about two weeks I'm planning to give it a go at our family reunion which is 13 days out though might use Water proof band-aids just to be extra safe. I'm also planning to just walk around .. nothing hard core.
Michael Hamilton 37 Posted June 3, 2016 Since were talking about swimming ...... Went to the waterpark yesterday and I have lost enough weight that I am able to go on the warterslides with my kids. Great feeling!! However, I have lost a lot of weight and I have found out that I am no longer as buoyant as I used to be. I used to be able to float like a champ, but now I find myself struggling to stay afloat in the lazy river and the wavepool. Going again this weekend temp is suposed to hit 109 degrees this Saturday. FocusOnMeNow 599 Posted June 3, 2016 Technically cleared for "swimming"/submerging in Water after 3 weeks but NOT released for full activity until sometime later. So just be aware that even though you may be cleared to get into the pool you might not be ready to go back to your pre-surg swim right away so take it easy and get as much exercise as is comfortable for you but stop and/or take it easy if you start to feel pain and strain.
