AmiLou 41 Posted July 18, 2016 I'm from Prairieville, LA and had my gastric sleeve surgery on June 14th. I'm down 21 lbs in a month which is not that significant number as those in my support group. I go to Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge once a month...HOWEVER, I guess see the inches disappearing. Two notches on my bra and I'm quite sure I will have to buy new ones soon. AmiLou 41 Posted July 27, 2016 Lisat78, Welcome friend! I just have to comment on your comment...about "only" losing 35 lbs! You are doing great. I felt a little discouraged at first too. I went to the Bariatric Support group monthly meetings for three months before scheduling my surgery. Lots of folks talked about their weight loss so my expectations were way up there too. One lady had lost 50 lbs in one month...Whoa! But the facts remain, everyone loses at their own pace, muscle weighs more than fat, if you have more to lose your numbers will be larger, yada...yada...
