Autumn Riley Arnold 92 Posted June 1, 2016 Does anyone have, or is anyone familiar with Medicare and whether or not they usually approve or deny surgery?I just read that the bigger the insurance company, the more difficulty a person will have with getting approved. waterwoman 181 Posted June 1, 2016 My surgeon told me that Medicare was not difficult - if you meet the criteria, they approve. Good luck to you!

Capri3Js 66 Posted June 2, 2016 I have medicare and medicaid and they require a six month educational class. But after you get approved very fast. I finished my class May 13 and had my surgery date two days later. Went sign my surgery consent forms on the 25th and started my two week liquid diet. So June 7th is my date

PrinceVanHalen 97 Posted June 3, 2016 Those might be requirements for Medicaid, but not Medicare. Some people get those two confused. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
