busybeebug 415 Posted May 31, 2016 Anybody receive an unexpected box of bariatric Vitamins? I guess my surgeon is being proactive. I received a box of vitamins from Bari Active and Nascobal. I've been doing my own regimen of a Multivitamin, & hair skin and nail Vitamin. Or the catastrophic thinking is that my health record was compromised. which is most likely not true. I can't believe I reached half way to surgery approval submission ! Down 14 lbs! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
Daisee68 2,493 Posted June 1, 2016 I used Nascobal for about 8 months post-op. It comes with the Vitamins which is great. I got laid off though and starting over with a new deductible, the prescription for Nascobal is really expensive - $500 range I think. I was sad to stop because I got such great labs with those Vitamins but I ended up finding (on the BariatricPal store) another brand called BariMelt which has exactly the same vitamins / amounts. busybeebug 415 Posted June 1, 2016 500 ish for that.. wow. That's a lot. I think I'll use it until I have to redo my deductible next Feb! I was planning to call them tomorrow and check it all out Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
Daisee68 2,493 Posted June 1, 2016 It is a good product. The Vitamins are "free" . It is the Nascobal (for which you have to have a prescription) that is expensive. But my insurance paid for it without issue once I had used my deductible last year.
