ag0177 8 Posted May 31, 2016 I'm scheduled for surgery on the 13th and trying to plan my post op diet. From what I've been reading it seems as though it takes quite a bit of time to drink a Protein Shake after surgery. For those of you who mix your powder with milk or almond milk, do you put it on ice to keep it from going bad? Do you keep a stash in the fridge and only pour out a little at at time? Do you have an insulated shaker? Thanks in advance for your help!
Read2016 658 Posted May 31, 2016 I add lots of ice, keeping it in the fridge should be fine... I make mine with Water but will add Greek yogurt or cottage cheese or Peanut Butter.. Cinnamon or flax seeds... I like to vary the taste of it so I don't use pre made shakes. James Marusek 5,244 Posted June 1, 2016 I mixed mine with Water because I became lactose intolerant after surgery. In the beginning it took a while to consume one Protein shake but after a few weeks, it became much less difficult.
