abean204 17 Posted May 30, 2016 I am almost 5 weeks out and have not lost weight in 12 days. My weight has actually gone up a pound. Has anyone else experienced this? I have read sbout the 3 week stall, but I thought it would have broke by now. I have upped my calories the last few days to see if that would help. Just looking for someone with a similar experience and suggestions on what I could do. Thanks Sent from my LG-H631 using the BariatricPal App
Christinamo7 4,042 Posted May 30, 2016 yup, the majority of us have gone through the exact same thing. it is MADDENING, isn't it? the more times you go through a little stall, the easier it gets to trust the process and just keep following your plan, but no one really likes it. right now my weight has been bouncing around the same few pounds and I am just about to cross a major goal. boo. maybe next week. how are you doing at getting in your fluids and Protein? how many calories are you getting in? how much activity? DeletedMember 715 Posted May 30, 2016 My 3 week stall lasted about 14 days. You'll get there, just keep following your plan. It's frustrating, but your body is working hard.
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted May 30, 2016 Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. We all experience stalls, and just about everyone stalls about three weeks post-op. If you intend to lose a lot of weight, you will experience periodic stalls. Just follow your program. Focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids. Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed. Exercise. And, Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall
