shelbys mom 70 Posted August 9, 2016 Today is my one month surgiversary! I'm down a total of 27.1 pounds, 28.5 inches, and 3.2% body fat. I have 47.1 pounds to lose. I'm not there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday! I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and posting pics. I started my Pre-Op diet today. One week until I go under the knife! I'm down a little bit since my bariatric class (from 224 to 221) and hoping to get below 220 by my surgery date. I go for pre-admission day Wednesday. It's beginning to feel real! I'm including a copy of my pre-op diet for anyone who is interested. ThatKaylorGirl 33 Posted August 10, 2016 sha_sha_lucas, I am exercising fiercely lol I've slowed down in my weight loss considerably, but am seeing the fat melt away still. I went in today for a check in with the doc and started with 100 pounds of fat down to 76 pounds of fat now. I've lost 30.2 pounds on the scale, now down to 194. I have been drinking my coffee as usual and have had a ton of energy. I built a gym in a building at my house and typically do 5-10 miles on the exercise back 4-5 days a week. I've also been doing strength training. I would suggest more Protein if you want more energy. It was hard to get motivated to start working out, but once I started I became addicted. Good luck! Let me know how you make it!!! I'm pulling for you! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

ThatKaylorGirl 33 Posted August 14, 2016 My heartburn has been bad lately! I found out it's from eating too fast and too big of a bite. I'm down 3 pounds since my doctor's appointment Wednesday. The fix? More food! I feel like I'm a little piggy now, but it worked! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Tami_Lynn 77 Posted August 14, 2016 I hope none of this happens to you! From what I have searched, it is not typical? I am 6 days post surgery. I'm 54 years old and I must say that this surgery was far more difficult than I anticipated. I've read where other people go back to work after one week and I'm thinking NO WAY!!! My goal was to return in two weeks and I just don't see it happening. I was nauseated the first couple of days but that has subsided. I feel very tired, my incisions are very sore, I am experiencing gas pains in the chest and abdominal areas. I feel extremely bloated. There was a 10 lb weight gain post surgery that is starting to subside. I did not have a bowel movement for four days. Prayers would be appreciated! One positive note is that I do not feel hungry. That part is TRUE! I hope that I can move around more tomorrow to alleviate the gas. It's just not lady-like to even talk about that subject. Good luck to you!Amilou, how are you now? AmiLou 41 Posted August 14, 2016 Tammylynnwoods, 60 days post surgery and I am doing much better! I take Prilosec daily to address the reflux issues I was having. I've lost 32 lbs which is not bad considering I was a self pay with a lower BMI than most. I went back to work at two weeks. I did just fine. I guess my age made it a little more difficult initially. Surgery changes your life and you adjust.
