leliwhoaoh 27 Posted May 27, 2016 So I am 3 months into my 6 month program required by my insurance and I'll admit that for the last month I have slacked off and even gained 2 pounds I haven't had my meeting with my NUT yet, but it is scheduled for 2 weeks from now. I know I'm probably not getting nearly enough Protein in as I should, carbs are my bbf and I'm having a hard time letting go. What methods/apps are people using to figure out how much protein they're taking in? Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Bufflehead 6,358 Posted May 27, 2016 I weigh all my food -- except the stuff that comes in single servings like yogurt cups -- on a digital scale, and track everything on myfitnesspal. I know kicking carbs is hard, I struggle with it too! I have found it very useful to go extremely low carb -- under 30 grams of carbs -- for three days to kick the cravings. If I am out at a restaurant, I can usually find the item, or an approximation, already in MyFitnessPal. If not, then I estimate based on individual ingredients.
