FabFemale 233 Posted May 27, 2016 I had surgery on 5/2 ! Yay! I'm feeling great! I have a BBQ I'm attending on Sunday and will be on regular food. What do you recommend for me to eat? I'm thinking chicken and veggies will be my go to. What about potato salad? This will definitely be a test. I would usually drink wine and beer and graze on everything. I'll be changing my habits. I haven't told anyone about surgery. But am open to it if they ask. There is a pool, so I think I'll plan on being in the pool or laying on a lounge chair soaking in the sun. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks
KristenLe 5,979 Posted May 27, 2016 I would go for chicken and veggies. Bring a dish you can eat just in case. Have fun!
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted May 27, 2016 I'd skip the potato salad. chicken should be ok as long as it isn't too dry. Be sure to take small bites and chew well. As to getting in the pool, as long as your incisions have healed you should be ok. Have fun!
FabFemale 233 Posted May 27, 2016 @@Inner Surfer Girl oh I didn't even think about the incisions. I think they are all healed. No scabs. They were glued. Hmm. Maybe I should ask my surgeon.
Esoler 16 Posted May 29, 2016 Absolutely chicken - if you are having any issues with food still - my doctor told me dark chicken is easier to process.
