tony031469 81 Posted May 25, 2016 Has anyone tried this? Claims 42 grams of Protein. Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted May 25, 2016 Keep in mind that even though the name is "New Whey" it is mostly collagen Protein, not whey. If you are looking for true whey protein, you'll have to keep looking. There is a lot of debate over whether collagen protein can really be effectively absorbed and used. JamieLogical 8,710 Posted May 25, 2016 collagen is a poor form of Protein that is not absorbed well by the body. Also there is some belief that it is not beneficial to consume more than 30 grams of protein at any one time. It can be taxing on the kidneys and not fully absorbed. determinedtolive 134 Posted May 25, 2016 I agree with the other answers but before I actually researched Protein I bought some of these in Orange. I barely took a sip and it was the most horrid thing I'd ever tasted in my life. I gave them to a co-worker that uses protein powders as he's trying to aid in gaining muscle when he works out. Even he said he couldn't finish it it was so bad. You've been warned.

Jtothec 1 Posted May 25, 2016 Everything I read says they're not a good option, but my program actually stated these were what I should drink during the first week to get Protein (clear liquids only). I stopped drinking them after the first week when I could add Protein Shakes.< /p>
Read2016 658 Posted May 25, 2016 She said this product I found on Amazon would be good for the Clear Liquids but it's pricey like $7 for 6 little packets Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
determinedtolive 134 Posted May 25, 2016 (edited) When I'm on the clear liquid diet I'll be using this one: I will probably mix it with coconut wate. I also plan on adding it to my bone broth and making homemade jello/gummies with it. ETA: When I actually go shopping to find a low sugar juice (diluted with water) to use to flavor the jello/gummies, I think I'll also make some popcicles. Someone on FB mentioned cranberry juice but I haven't looked at the ingredients yet. Edited May 25, 2016 by determinedtolive
