If you all remember I had a stall for 3 weeks. I started loosing again on week 4 lost. Lost 7 more pounds in about 5 days after the stall. Now i'm about to be 6 weeks post up tomorrow. I weighed myself Monday and since I saw the scale has not moved weighed myself today. I guess I am stalled again. Today I weighed +2 pounds. Why this this stall happen so soon after the last one?? Are they usually this frequent? Has anyone else gotten them this frequent?

I'd appreciate any advise on this

Every. Freaking. Month. It may be hormonal.

I only lose the week to 10 days before my cycle. I usually lose a pound a day during that time. Then I stall or gain a pound or 2 for the rest of the month. It's maddening, but once I recognized the pattern, I grew to be ok with it.

Prior to surgery, when I had so much success on Low Carb this was how I lost... the week of my period I would lose a pound or more each day for several days in a row, then BAM. I'd stop until my next cycle... it was quite frustrating, but after a few months I owned it and learned to just wait.

I have since had a hysterectomy - although I still have my ovaries - and I'm much older (51).... now I have no idea what'll happen. So far since surgery I've been losing daily, but I know that will only last a short period of time, then I guess I'll have to learn how my body wants to lose again this time around.

Hang in there!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
