Traveling

So last night I planned a vacation to NYC on June 19-21. I had surgery the 10th of May. Obviously, never being to New York before (I'm from Miami) I know there are lots of foods to try and plan on using one of those 2 days as a "treat myself" day. What do you think around that time I'll be able to eat? That will put me, if I do the math correct (although I failed it in highschool lol) about 5 weeks post op. I just need some help pre planning

talk to your surgeon and nutritionist about what you will be able to eat. Every plan is different

You can't have "treat days" at this stage. I am 15 months out and I don't cheat very often. Certainly didn't cheat/treat before the 6 month mark. Definitely talk to your surgeon and be prepared to not like his/her answer. Sorry to be so blunt! Good luck and enjoy NYC. I hope to visit it someday too :-)

I'm 5 weeks out now and can hardly eat anything. Everyone is different. I can't eat anything too tough or crunchy. I'm mostly still on soft foods . Fish, turkey burgers, Soups, etc .

I was sleeved on 5/10 and will traveling to LA on 6/25. Our program calls for me to be on a soft diet until 8 weeks. So, no "treat days".
