DaisyAmy 561 Posted May 21, 2016 (edited) When I feel down about slow progress, I need to remember where I came from. I no longer have diabetes or fatty liver issues and I'm a year out from a hysterectomy for uterine cancer that was likely exacerbated by the extra weight. About 95 pounds down so far. Blessed. ETA - the two years is just a timehop thing. My surgery was Dec '15. I'm 5 months out. Edited May 21, 2016 by DaisyAmy

kiki36 0 Posted May 22, 2016 Hi! That's amazing! I'll be having the sleeve done in December sometime due to high BMI and type 2 diabetes. Did the weight come off slower because of the diabetes? Did you have to workout a lot to get your weight down? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
*susan* 1,709 Posted May 22, 2016 @@DaisyAmy, never, ever be disappointed or allow yourself to feel "down" about slow progress! First off, and I am sure you have heard this before, everyone's body responds differently to weight loss surgery, and everyone loses at a different pace. It's okay, what is important is that while you may not see the changes on the scale as quickly as you like, you are making progress in terms of better, healthier eating habits and, as you mentioned, your health is improving! Congrats on no longer having fatty liver issues or diabetes! That is fabulous news!
