Bufflehead 6,358 Posted May 23, 2016 @@moppet I did (and do) work out regularly, but early on I just started with walking and then super low-impact aerobics. Working out is great for your health and important in maintenance but remember that what is most critical is your diet. You know what they say -- and it's all true -- the battle to lose weight is won in the kitchen, not in the gym. Follow your eating plan religiously, track everything, and stay away from crappy, high carb, nutrition-free foods and you will do great.
peaceout 273 Posted May 23, 2016 I had to chime in because I'm so excited! I started as a 20W; surgery day I was 18W. When I went shopping this weekend, I bought a size 8! Most of my things are 10, and the 8's are still a little tight, but *happy dance*! I'm buying single digits! It's unreal.

I got real emotional in the fitting room. I stood there for about 20 minutes saying I can't believe that I am the size I was when I was in high school. It's a great feeling. Pam_2-06-2017 375 Posted June 23, 2017 Started at size 20. Nearly 5 months out and I now wear a loose 12.
jess9395 5,449 Posted June 23, 2017 Started at a TIGHT 18w should probably have been a 20. I said when I started I would be THRILLED to make single digit sizes. I am now a 4! 1 Joann454 reacted to this

shannybananny71 106 Posted June 23, 2017 Started at a 20W and after three months, I'm in a 14 misses. In tops, I went from a 2X to a L/XL. I hope to go down at least two more sizes by September but one size is probably more realistic.
rainyann 118 Posted June 23, 2017 Goodwill has received 8 huge bags of clothes from me and my closet is empty. I only buy things on sale now since I know I won't wear them for long 1 Shereseed reacted to this
Sullie06 1,013 Posted June 26, 2017 Started at a tight 22W, I'm a week shy of 6 months out and I'm in a comfortable 12-14 depending on brand and large tops. I would like to get down to a 10 but my weight loss has been super slow the last 2 months so it might be a while.

PatientEleventyBillion 851 Posted June 26, 2017 I was up to a 52x32 pant size.. right now at 36-40x32 and they vary on tightness/looseness. i had went nuts shopping in the US for clothes, in PA where it was tax-free for those, with the 36-40s, but my weight gain happened so fast I literally outgrew them in a matter of weeks and was unable to wear them. I kept them around for several years until my weight plummeted back down to now and can wear them comfortably. They still look brand new.
