When people either find out I was in the hospital or had surgery, what kind of surgery would leave similar scars? Or what kind of abdomen surgery can you have? Sorry if this is dumb... VSGAnn2014 12,992 Posted May 19, 2016 I didn't tell anyone (other than hubby and a couple of far-away girlfriends) either. Gallbladder scars are very similar to VSG scars. I know -- I had GB surgery 4 weeks after VSG surgery. And 21 months later, they're all pretty much invisible. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
