lessoftay 24 Posted May 19, 2016 (edited) I'm more of an observer in everyday life. Same goes for within this community. I'll read posts & comments & chime in when I feel it's beneficial or feel moved by something. Today, I am randomly overwhelmed by thankfulness & wanted to share. I am two & a half months out and down 56 pounds in total since starting the process. 56 f-ing pounds and I'm not even close to being finished. I am so lucky to have been given this gift. You should feel so lucky too. I read a lot of negativity here. I understand this is a taxing thing both physically and emotionally but you have to be grateful! Look at where you started. Don't get down on yourself for not losing "fast enough" or having a cheat meal. Don't compare your experience to anyone else's! The power of positivity is real, y'all!! You've got this. You get to have everything you've ever wanted! How exciting is that? Chins up & walk tall, kids. You freakin' rule. Edited May 19, 2016 by lessoftay

Babbs 14,681 Posted May 19, 2016 I always wish more people understood that like with anything in life, in order to be successful you need to be in the right frame of mind. Whether it's sports we play, our careers, the way we handle stress, relationships, raising our kids or weight loss surgery, the power of positive thinking can go a long way and people who are more prone to staying positive I have found are more successful. dlp712 11 Posted May 19, 2016 How do you know that the sleeve is the right thing to do? I've had my doctor consult, met all requirements just need to get clearance on heart & kidney which I have appts for. I been through breast cancer with numerous surgeries. I'm a diabetic with one kidney. I have been so excited about it all. But 2 weeks ago I came down with pneumonia struggling to get ahold of this mess SO now I'm asking myself - IS it right for me?
