Papiluv33 68 Posted May 19, 2016 (edited) Maybe it's because I am in the pureed stage, but I am hating eating right now. I was so excited to move from the Protein Shake to the pureed foods, but now I'd rather have the Protein shake. I surely hope this changes. I guess I need to go read some posts to see what others are saying about their experiences. Edited May 19, 2016 by Papiluv33
gord1972 19 Posted May 19, 2016 (edited) Haha me too. I still drink Protein shakes 6 weeks out. There is nothing pleasant about the first 4-6 weeks eating post op. Its a small price to pay overall right?? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App Edited May 19, 2016 by gord1972 1 Renzster reacted to this

Papiluv33 68 Posted July 22, 2016 (edited) I am still adjusting to food. The taste of chicken has gotten better I am happy to report. I tried a strip of bacon with my morning boiled egg and wheat toast for the first time post-op and was highly disappointed. My saving grace is that I do like turkey bacon. Go figure. My list of foods is still very short at the moment. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using the BariatricPal App Edited July 22, 2016 by Papiluv33
yulonda28 4 Posted March 28, 2017 Sad to say, I am glad to see someone is having the same problems as me. I do not enjoy eating still. (amost 4 month post) There are only a few foods that actually go down smoothly and I find enjoyable. Protein Shakes and smoothies are still the go to for me. Plus a chopped salad from Subway always does the trick. 1 Papiluv33 reacted to this
#fitnotfat 42 Posted March 28, 2017 Same here I'm 8 weeks out and hate food, nothing tastes the same and anything thicker than Soup gets stuck after about 3 teaspoons full. Please tell me it gets easier 1 Papiluv33 reacted to this
Papiluv33 68 Posted March 28, 2017 Back when I originally posted this, I really was hating food and eating. I am glad to say it gets better. I am no longer have that problem. Now the problem is finding the foods that my stomach can digest with little or no problem. I have be careful also not to overeat. I still can't consume much but my body craves the extra calories because I have increased my workouts. Just know it gets better. I am 11 months post op. For me I started enjoying food again around 7 or 8 months out. Before that I ate only because I knew I had to. Everyone is different and I hope you all start enjoying food (reasonably) soon! 1 CocoNina reacted to this
