adrinanna 46 Posted May 16, 2016 It is funny. I actually practiced being on the preop diet so I knew I could do three days of it. I am on day one of the real one and today I believe I am hungry. What is the magic day to get past on the pre-op diet.
specialkiddomom 10 Posted May 16, 2016 (edited) Okay you will read a lot that says day 2 or 3 but for me it was truly day 5. I went through Ketosis flu on day 3 & 4 - best of luck Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Edited May 16, 2016 by specialkiddomom
kimsport 16 Posted May 16, 2016 I started my pre op diet today too. Funny thing is I had to take my daughter to an appointment. I had two hours of free time on my hands and truly did not know what to do. Normally I would have gone somewhere to eat. Now just sitting in the car surfin bariatric pal. Lol. Maybe a walk around the park. Hang in there. We can do this!
Lisa Carr 8 Posted May 16, 2016 Well, I would love to have a specific day, I am converting from lap band to bypass. Did the pre op 3 days went fine however, when it came to laparoscopicly taking out the band all went well unfortunately, Dr said I was so small and tight, he could not do the bypass laproscopically. So he removed the band woke me up and he told me I will need to loose at least 15 or 20 lbs being ideal before he can go back in and try laproscopically approach again. What a huge bummer at first, but I am 5 days into a 700 cal liquid diet and more motivated! Glass half full.... Literally. 20 is a big number for me at 53 and in menopause. Just really want to avoid the big incision bad pain and more scarring. I am a new member and believe strongly in the power of positive thought. If you guys could think or give me some + feedback I would appreciate it so much. Wishing I could lose 20 lbs in 3 weeks but, seems tough, has anyone done it? Sorry post so long...
